Disciplines - Architecture
At Matrix our primary objective is to create value with excellent design completed on time and within budget. We offer specialized services tailored to meet the needs of your hospice community:
Matrix services
- Programming - Matrix Programming services involve an interactive charette session with the client and clients staff to determine the spaces to be included to tailor the facility to incorporate and embrace the clients program mission and core values. We will lead and facilitate the sessions, pulling critical needs and requirements and adjacencies matched to your workflow.
- Exterior and Interior Architecture - Matrix Architects will translate your program into a facility that compliments and fits naturally into its surroundings while embodying your vision of what your new facility should look like, inside and out.
- Construction Documents - Upon completion of the design, we provide documentation for implementation of the bid process in the form of detailed drawings and specifications. This is the key phase in realizing the intent and functionality reached in the design phases.
- Materials and Supplier Sourcing - Matrix keeps abreast of the latest technology and developments, as well as the tried and true methods and materials, to provide you with the best source and the right materials for your project.
- Project Costing - Project costs are tracked and monitored at each of the different phases of the project, in ever expanding detail with each passing phase. Matrix Architects has attained an enviable record in the consistently accurate development of these Preliminary Estimates of Construction Cost, promoting accurate decision-making throughout the project.
- Renderings and Scale Models - Matrix has the ability to prepare hand-drawn renderings, pen and ink renderings as well as computer-generated photo-realistic renderings. Architectural models, although not requested a great deal anymore due to significant computer and rendering software advancements, can be developed for fund-raising or marketing efforts.
- Architectural Lighting Design - Matrix develops high-level specifications of lighting design to invoke the senses and create appropriate moods and settings within the facility. Lighting can provide a sense of serenity and calm, a sense of urgency, draw attention to detail or simply provide a backdrop to space.
- Fundraising Element Preparation - Matrix plays an important role in helping you package the materials needed for the capital campaign, supports the graphic efforts and provides the rendering and verbiage for your fundraising campaign. In addition, we provide a naming opportunities list with a range of values that have been achieved on past projects.
Site Development Services
- Site Analysis and Selection - On-site observations and reporting on any site being considered for your project. Basic pros and cons will be developed for each site being considered and comparisons between sites for multiple site analysis. Issues such as suitability of topography, natural amenities, vehicular access and flow, geographic location and availability of utilities and city services will be evaluated. Recommendations in written and or graphical form will aid clients in determining site worthiness.
- Environmental and Geotechnical Report Due Diligence Assistance - Researching existing site conditions and surrounding area to discover information that either confirms or cautions against site acquisition. Involves procurement of environmental reports and soils investigation. This information is necessary for site layout and confirmation of building foundation design requirements.
- Site Development Planning - Creating and presenting a conceptual site plan that compliments your facilities program needs.
- Site Utilization and Master Planning - Development of site plan options that utilize the site to its fullest potential. Both current and future building needs, plus a variety of site amenities are created in a clear, understandable presentation format.
- Zoning Processing Assistance - Should the particular site require zoning change or development approvals, we can work with the municipality where the site is located to ascertain and meet the requirements for the proper entitlements. This may involve application processing, abutter notifications, meetings and or hearings and presentation document preparation.
