Hospice of North Central Ohio
Hospice of North Central Ohio is gracefully nestled into a beautiful, 14-acre wooded site located off a rural route in Ashland, Ohio. This inpatient facility incorporates two 6-bed patient wings that look out onto woods and nicely landscaped courtyards. The patient wings plus administration offices total 32,562 square feet. The master plan allows for the addition of a future 6-bed patient wing as well as a future maintenance building.
Great care was taken to preserve as many existing trees as possible. Taking advantage of the scenic natural setting, meandering walkways were created to allow patients, families and staff to easily access the outdoors. Three generous wood and stone porches in the patient area feature inspired architectural detailing and comfortable all-season porch furniture. Two of these porches have screens and storm windows to allow three-season use.
The warm red brick and natural stone used on the building exterior, as well as the exquisite wood detailing throughout the building work together to give this facility a warm, home-like appearance at harmony with its site while providing comfort to hospice families.
